GM Plans to Launch 6 New Models in India in Next Two Years

General Motors is going to launch new six models in the domestic market in order to increase the sales, with in two years with full hope on India. Company is going to invest $500 million for new product development and plant expansion.

Spark and Beat, batchbacks like Aveo UVA and sedans like Aveo, Optra and Cruze in the luxury segment and Tavera in SUV segment these are already sold by this company.

Company is going to launch new six models such as a pick up van, multi seater van, hatchback, notchback, sports utility vehicle and multi purpose vehicle.

According to officials, company is present in the all the segments from mini cars to SUV and planning to launch one product in next 18 months. These coming models would be manufactured from the unit which is located in Gujarat. Company is focusing on the tier III and IV cities for sales of their mini cars.

Thus General Motors is going to introduce six models in Indian auto market with in next years.
